Envisioning Rituals

An extension of group spiritual direction, these inclusive gatherings open space for participants to share and hear their most profound dreams for their communities’ futures. The way is cleared for our sacred exploration by witnessing, lamenting, and celebrating current and historical events near and far. As the designated Listener, I reflect back what has been shared and lead the group in intuiting possible pathways emerging from our sorrows, joys, and dreams.

Prayer-Shaping Rituals

How do we keep our hearts open while following the news? For me, the answer is found in community. To support my own preparations for meaningful worship grounded in current realities, I host regular Prayer-Shaping Rituals. Weaving together carefully curated music and poetry, as well as silence, these gatherings create a container for lay and professional worship leaders to reflect and share about recent regional, national, and global news. Following each gathering, I craft a written prayer drawing on the words and insights of the participants, which is emailed to attendees and available by donation.
